College Planning
In recent years, more that 60 percent of UCT graduates continue their education immediately following graduation. Beginning in grade 9, UCT students are provided with information on how to prepare for college admissions. Classroom lessons expose students to many resources that are helpful for college planning. Use the resources to the right to find the informatio needed.
Each year, the School Counselors host a college fair in the spring. Over seventy college, technical school, and military representatives are available to speak with interested students and their parents/guardians. Additionally, throughout the fall, college and military representatives visit UCT to meet with juniors and seniors in small groups.
For the past six school years, a five-week parent/guardian and student workshop has been offered for interested parents in the winter. Parent/Guardians of current juniors should expect to receive information about this program in January.
Upper Cape Tech does not offer the SAT test at this location. However, students interested in taking the SAT's are encouraged to review the following information:

If you are a student on a Section 504 Accommodation Plan or an IEP and will be requesting SAT Accommodations, you will need to request these through the Special Education Office two months prior to the test date. Information on SAT accommodations can be found at this link.
UCT's annual college fair is held every March. It is open to all area high school students and their parents/guardians. There are typically around 75 institutions in attendance. Registration for admission and military representatives begins in January. The fair is sponsored by UCT, but all area high school students and their families are welcome to attend. The event is free. The next fair is scheduled for Spring 2025.
ON THE SPOT INFORMATION FOR SENIORS
Prior to the fair, a number of institutions will offer on the spot admissions sessions for seniors. This program is designed for seniors who have not finalized their college selection process. Registration for on the spot admissions will take place through a Google form, beginning on March 6th.
