Health Technology

The health technology program teaches students clinical skills that lead to an extensive range of medical technology careers in both the public and private sectors. This Health Science field blends the principles of science and communication to enhance safety and well-being. Throughout the program, students work in clinical settings that provide authentic workplace experiences and develop skill sets used in a wide variety of healthcare and education disciplines.

Health Careers has incorporated two state of the art virtual reality systems. The Anatomage Table is the most advanced real-human-based medical education system. This state-of-the-art platform offers digitized human cadavers and superior medical learning tools, transforming medical education and training. By incorporating the Anatomage Table, students can enhance learning, simulating real patient cases. The Anatomage Table allows students to practice procedures on real human bodies without the need for physical cadavers. Students can visualize and interact with anatomical structures.  Adding the Anatomage Table into our Health Careers program has upgraded our labs with advanced technology and training.

The Virtual Reality Nursing Assistant system provides safe, accessible, and repeatable hands-on skills education experiences through an easy-to-use virtual reality headset. With training modules for CNA skills education, trainees can practice and develop the foundational skills required for healthcare careers. VRNA features on-the-job experience that promotes skill development, tracks performance progress, facilitates hands-on experience, and enhances a trainee's job readiness.
